Closer To Fine

He's been really enjoying this box.

Jasper went swimming at the cabin the other weekend. He loved it!

Mr. Cutie now has two bottom molars and is pushing out two more on the top. Better to chomp.

Jim and I are honored to be Parker Dussault's Godparents. In classic Duluth fashion, his baptism was a blustery day on the shore of Lake Superior.

Jim and I had our first weekend sans kiddo this past weekend. Thank you Mom and Dad for babysitting!

One of the activities this weekend was hanging out with the Indigo Girls. They were kind enough to film a public service announcement for Animal Allies on Sunday. Really nice people. What a funny experience!

Here's a clip from their show later that night- a little Bob D. for the Minnesotans

Summer, barnyards, and forks

It was our first weekend of warm summer weather in Duluth! Jasper enjoyed splashing around in the lake on Jasper Beach- he loves the water. What a difference a year makes- here's Jasper on his beach a year ago.

He was splashing towards me in this picture and then did a face-plant in the water. Didn't phase him a bit...

Jasper has been mastering using his fork. He did exceptionally well this weekend with his fork and a bowl of guacamole.

Last Tuesday, our playgroup met at a farm where one of the dad's works. The kids loved seeing all the animals! In classic Jasper fashion, he was a little more interested in the rocks in the field than the animals (that's my boy!), but thankfully only mistook one llama pie for a rock...

Playing with the Poodles

We finally had a play date for Bear on Saturday with the poodle gang! Jasper was fascinated by all the dogs that kind of looked like Bear. He especially was interested in Oso.

Jasper really enjoys his new sand box. I was teaching him how to sort the gravel from sand etc. We learned in college how to determine the silt/clay ratio by putting some soil in your mouth. Jasper has been practicing this method every chance he can get.

Jasper and his girlfriend Esmae. Jasper's notes from daycare lately have been filled with stories of the two of them "hugging each other".
