Another funny story (from Jim):

Last week Jasper and I were discussing whether we eat animals or not. He is insistent that we do not. I said, "But Jasper, turkeys are animals and we eat turkey sometimes." Jasper responded, "Turkeys aren't animals, turkeys are food! Silly Papa!"

Needless to say, we have not taken Jasper to meet the cows that become his hamburgers.

2 1/2 years old and already alienated from his food sources. Don't tell Barbara Kingsolver.

Jasper is excited about his new baby sister (most of the time). He likes to stick out his belly and talk about the baby in his belly too. He has named the babe "Baby Bee." He is a really sweet guy and will be a wonderful big brother.

Jim and I took a quick "babymoon" to New York City the week of the 4th. We had a wonderful adventure in the Big City!

This is the 5 month belly shot outside of the Broadway show we saw- Wicked. We loved it.


My dad sent me this photo of Jasper while we were in NYC. Needless to say, he enjoyed himself while we were gone- thank you Grandma and Grandpa!

We had our 22 week ultrasound today and it's a girl!

Swimming, boating, and friends

Jasper and I spent the weekend near Brainerd with my friend Mary and her daughter Emma while Jim worked on house projects (good trade!). Jasper had a great weekend playing with Emma! In other baby news, we just passed the 20 week mark. We biked to the Brewhouse for wild rice burgers to celebrate.

The pool was a big hit! Jasper loved it and learned a lot of new swimming moves!

Jasper thought it was hilarious to honk the horn and scare everyone. He'd say "I tootered!" Grandpa acted surprised every time.
